UKTV has released first look images for the second season of Bookish, created by and starring Emmy-winning writer Mark Gatiss.
The series is produced by Eagle Eye Drama (ITV Studios) with Beta Film handling international sales and PBS Distribution holding North American rights.

Filming on season two has recently wrapped; the series consists of six 70-minute episodes. Returning director and executive producer Carolina Giammetta is joined by producer Jake Harvey; episodes are written by Mark Gatiss, Matthew Sweet, and Ian Hallard.
Season two will air on U&alibi later this year. The first season launched strongly on U&alibi, averaging 1.5 million viewers and becoming the channel’s second highest-performing premiere to date.

Mark Gatiss returns as Gabriel Book alongside Polly Walker, Connor Finch, Elliot Levey, Blake Harrison, and Buket Kömür, with several returning supporting cast members. Ruth Codd (Celebrity Traitors) joins the cast as India Flynn.
Season two guest stars include Jason Watkins, Miranda Richardson, Simon Callow, Rupert Graves, Claire Skinner, Youssef Kerkour, and Allan Corduner.
Set in London in 1946, the series follows bookseller Gabriel Book as he assists the police in solving complex and unusual murders.
New cases in season two explore spiritualism, a mysterious tailor’s murder, and an international storyline set in a German village during Christmas.
Bookish blends post-war nostalgia with crime investigation, positioning itself as a stylish period detective drama with a distinctive tone.
