Netflix has released the dramatic, action-packed full-length trailer for I Will Find You, a new police thriller created by bestselling author Harlan Coben, which is scheduled to premiere on June 18.
The plot centers on David Burroughs, played by Sam Worthington, who is serving a life sentence for a crime he did not commit. Upon discovering a glimmer of hope that his son might still be alive, David breaks out of prison and goes on the run to uncover the truth, aided by his sister-in-law Rachel, an investigative journalist portrayed by Britt Lower who has always believed in his innocence.
Marking a significant first in Harlan Coben’s career, this US production differs from his usual book-to-screen adaptations; the author pitched the concept directly to Netflix alongside showrunner Robby Hull while the underlying novel was still being written.
The upcoming series follows in the footsteps of Harlan Coben’s previous hit Netflix adaptations, including Run Away, Missing You, and the highly successful Fool Me Once starring Michelle Keegan. Furthermore, Fool Me Once star Michelle Keegan is set to return to the author’s universe, starring alongside Tom Bateman in another mystery thriller currently in production titled The Woods, which also features ensemble cast members such as James Buckley and Amelia Eve.
