International sales for the first season of The Lady Grace Mysteries continue to expand.
RAI (Italy) is among the latest broadcasters to acquire the series, joining NHK (Japan), HOT (Israel), ABC (Australia), Radio-Canada (Canada), RTS (Switzerland), YLE (Finland), NRK (Norway) and NPO (the Netherlands), all of which have licensed the first season.
The recently announced second season, which has entered principal photography, has already secured pre-sales with HOT, ABC and RTS. Produced by Cottonwood Media and Coolabi Productions for ZDF Studios and BBC Children’s and Education, the series will comprise a total of 23 episodes, each running approximately 24 minutes, across its first two seasons.
Based on the bestselling children’s novels, The Lady Grace Mysteries follows 14-year-old Lady Grace Cavendish, a detective and private spy serving Queen Elizabeth I. Blending historical mystery with a coming-of-age story, the series follows Grace and her friends as they solve crimes, foil assassination plots and navigate the challenges of life at the royal court. According to the distributors, the series has received strong reviews since its BBC premiere, with international demand continuing to grow rapidly.
