Prime Video is developing Danger Money, a high-octane crime action-comedy series starring Ray Winstone (Sexy Beast), which will launch exclusively for subscribers in the UK and Ireland. The six-part, 60-minute series is produced by All3Media’s Two Brothers Pictures, the acclaimed production company behind Fleabag, and will be directed by Carl Tibbetts (Black Mirror).
The series, however, will be quite different than Fleabag. The narrative centers on a former SAS operative (Winstone) consumed by guilt over a botched 1990s mission that left his reputation in tatters and his best friend dead. Decades later, while desperately trying to rebuild his relationship with his daughter, he is pulled back into the dangerous world he left behind when an old friend resurfaces with a job offer too good to refuse.
Created and written by David Crow and Oliver Maltman, the script also features episodic contributions from writers Iain Hollands, Ryan O’Sullivan, and Matilda Wnek. Production is slated to begin later this year (2026), with Malta’s Halo Pictures handling service production. Commenting on his surly, aging character, Winstone shared his excitement for the challenge, noting that beneath the hardman antics and laughs, the script carries immense heart, soul, and depth.
