Produced by Great Southern Television for the Kiwi public broadcaster TVNZ, the captivating series has officially been picked up by Acorn TV for the U.S. and Canada, and ITV for the UK, alongside further international acquisitions by various BBC channels in Europe and Disney’s Star Crime in the Balkans.
Blue Murder Motel follows Vinny and Cole, a married couple of career detectives who decide to leave their intense policing days behind to run a peaceful motel in a sunny, seaside New Zealand town. However, their quiet retirement plans are swiftly upended when a dead body is discovered on the property, drawing the seasoned duo right back into the investigative fold with a fresh, gripping case to unravel in each episode.
