The second season of the acclaimed Apple TV+ thriller Criminal Record is set to premiere on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, with new episodes rolling out weekly through June 10.

Peter Capaldi and Cush Jumbo return as DCI Daniel Hegarty and DS June Lenker, who find themselves forced into another uneasy alliance following the fatal stabbing of a young man at a political rally. While the case initially appears to be a straightforward murder investigation, it rapidly escalates into a high-stakes undercover operation aimed at thwarting a dangerous Far-Right bomb plot in the heart of London.
Created by Paul Rutman and directed by Ben A. Williams and Joelle Mae David, the eight-episode season of Criminal Record continues to explore the complexities of modern policing in a “post-truth” world.

The returning ensemble is bolstered by several new faces this year, including Dustin Demri-Burns, Luca Pasqualino, and Luther Ford, all joining a narrative that promises to be even more dire and character-driven than the first.
