Freeform has given the green light to Somebody Knows Something, an eight-part unscripted true-crime series produced by ABC News Studios and Ample Entertainment.

The series is hosted by true-crime creator Kara Chamberlain, a former law enforcement officer who investigates unsolved murders and missing persons cases. Working alongside victims’ families, law enforcement officials and online true-crime communities, Chamberlain aims to uncover new information that could help move long-running investigations forward.

Somebody Knows Something premiered on Freeform on August 10. The opening episode revisits the disappearance of five-month-old Sabrina Aisenberg, who vanished from her crib at her family’s home near Tampa, Florida, in 1997. The series will also be available to stream on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ in the U.S.

Each episode will conclude with a direct appeal to viewers who may have relevant information, encouraging them to contact the appropriate law enforcement agency. The format is designed not only to revisit unresolved cases but also to potentially generate new leads in investigations that have remained open for years.

Ample Entertainment is producing Somebody Knows Something for ABC News Studios, with Ari Mark serving as executive producer and Katie Turley-Molony as co-executive producer. For ABC News Studios, David Sloan is senior executive producer, Claire Weinraub serves as executive producer and Eileen Murphy is senior editorial producer.
