Woodcut Media and distributor Sphere Abacus have announced a new 90-minute true crime feature documentary titled Hair Fetish Killer.
Currently in production, Hair Fetish Killer is scheduled to premiere later this year on Prime Video in the UK and Ireland. The documentary explores the November 2002 murder of a mother in Bournemouth, England, whose body was discovered with precisely trimmed hair in her hands, sparking an intricate international investigation between the UK and Potenza, Italy, that lasted eight years before the killer was finally captured.
The project is directed and produced by Hannah Webster, with Nick Mavroidakis, Koulla Anastasi, and Anna Sadowy serving as executive producers, while Sphere Abacus handles the global distribution rights for the film.
“The documentary shines a light on how investigators both in the UK and Italy tirelessly hunted the killer despite numerous challenges, dedicating their lives to securing justice for the families involved. It took 18 years of a dangerous murderer walking free before he was finally locked up, never to be released again!”, said Hannah Webster, Series Producer, Woodcut Media
