Prime Video has announced the young ensemble cast for its upcoming German-language original drama series, tentatively titled Superior.

Currently filming on location in Bavaria and Switzerland, the six-part production masterfully blends an elite hospitality setting with the highs and lows of young love, an explicit adult content account scandal, forbidden affairs, and a dark murder mystery.

Directed by Franziska Margarete Hoenisch, Superior features a rising cast of up-and-coming talent led by Zoe Fürmann, Jonathan Kriener, Kjell Brutscheidt, and Jule Hermann, who are supported by seasoned industry veterans including Birgit Minichmayr and Benjamin Sadler.

Set against the glamorous and competitive backdrop of an exclusive Swiss hotel academy, Superior centers on Ricca, a student who has falsified a critical detail on her résumé to secure her scholarship. Tensions quickly escalate into a dangerous romance when her classmate Joel threatens to expose her past, unaware that he is also harboring deceptive secrets of his own that could lead to deadly consequences.

The series was created and head-written by Adrian Spring. On the production side, the project is being brought to life by the Swiss production company Zodiac Pictures in collaboration with MMC Zodiac, with financial backing and support from the German Motion Picture Fund (GMPF) and FilmFernsehFonds (FFF).
