Kat Cunning (On Swift Horses, Rap Sh!t) has officially joined the cast of NBC’s new drama pilot Protection.
Created, written, and executive produced by Josh Safran (Gossip Girl, Quantico), Protection follows a family of law enforcement agents who become the target of a mysterious assassin following the death of a U.S. Marshal in the line of duty.
This tragic event unravels a deadly conspiracy, forcing the Thornhill family to use their professional expertise to protect one another while navigating deep-seated personal differences and professional boundaries.
In this high-stakes thriller, Cunning is set to portray Clare Thornhill, an aspiring profiler described as the smartest member of the family. They join a previously announced cast that includes Peter Krause as Mike Thornhill, Hope Davis as the steely U.S. Marshal Joan, and Tommy O’Brien as Secret Service agent Micah Thornhill.
