Disney+ has acquired the New Zealand-set crime comedy-drama Ms X, starring Melissa George, with a scheduled debut in the UK and Ireland this July.
The fast-paced, female-led series follows a suburban mother who teams up with a high school friend to scare her cheating husband into faithfulness. However, the plan takes a dark and accidental turn toward homicide, pulling her into a dangerous criminal underworld where she finds herself caught between the police, a cartel, and a vicious PTA.
The six-part series, which originally debuted on Sky New Zealand’s Three and ThreeNow, also features Dean O’Gorman and Simone Kessell (Yellowjackets). Created by Hannah Marshall and David de Lautour, the production is a collaboration between Plus6Four Entertainment, South Pacific Pictures, and Dynamic Television.
Described by producers as a bold and thrilling series, Ms X balances layers of suspense and surprises with a fun, dark tone, anchored by a standout performance from George.
