TOD has released the first poster and trailer for Alıkara, its upcoming original series starring Miray Daner and Halit Özgür Sarı together for the first time.
Produced by Karga7 Pictures, the series is directed by Hülya Gezer and written by Eylem Canpolat and Bengü Üçüncü.
Alıkara follows forensic psychologist Işık And and homicide detective Deniz Baran Dağ, whose paths cross while investigating mysteries rooted in personal loss and unanswered questions.
Played by Miray Daner, Işık is a young forensic psychologist who grew up in Istanbul and learned to navigate life through reason. Halit Özgür Sarı plays Deniz, a homicide detective who has carried the weight of devastating losses since childhood.
Işık’s father suddenly disappears, while Deniz’s beloved niece Neşe dies under mysterious circumstances, leaving behind unanswered questions. Although the two have yet to meet, their lives become connected through the same pain.

As Işık traces the marks left on the human psyche and Deniz follows the evidence left behind by a crime, their investigation gradually takes them deeper into the secrets of the past. What they uncover forces both characters to confront the darker sides of their own histories.
The series explores the tension between reason and intuition, as well as the contrasts between East and West, tradition and modernity, faith and science. At the same time, the growing connection between Işık and Deniz becomes an important part of the story.
The cast also includes Sezin Akbaşoğulları, Fatih Al, Can Atak, Bahadır Vatanoğlu, Burak Güneş, Yaprak Medine, Yiğit Batumlu, Esra Ünnü, Elif Gülhan, Jasmine Berkiş, Gökhan Soylu and Serpil Gül.
Combining mystery, psychological suspense and romance, Alıkara will premiere soon on TOD.
