The masterpiece by the legendary writer Ahmet Ümit, A Memento for Istanbul, has officially moved into production.
Adapted from the bestselling novel of the same name, this sophisticated thriller is heading to Netflix, promising to blend Istanbul’s ancient history with dark, contemporary murder investigations.
The announcement that the iconic character Inspector Nevzat will be portrayed by Nejat İşler has generated immense excitement among fans of the crime fiction genre. Joining İşler is a stellar ensemble cast, including Bilal Yiğit Koçak, Simay Barlas, Özge Borak, Cem Davran, Tülin Özen, Deniz Celiloğlu, Serkan Keskin, Tansu Biçer, and Şerif Erol.
Directed by Abdullah Oğuz and produced by ANS and Evrensel Film, this ambitious production is being specifically tailored for Netflix’s global audience.
