Sphere Abacus has acquired Surviving the London Nail Bombings, a 90-minute true-crime documentary produced by Yeti Television for Prime Video in the UK and Ireland. The film will premiere later this year and explores the far-right terrorist attacks that struck three London communities over three consecutive weeks in April 1999.
The acquisition is part of a multi-title true-crime deal between Sphere Abacus and Prime Video UK & Ireland, negotiated by Will Stapley, the distributor’s Global Content Director.

Survivors Tell the Story Behind London Nail Bombings
Built around first-hand accounts from people who experienced the bombings, Surviving the London Nail Bombings reconstructs the attacks through interviews, archival news footage, CCTV and striking photographs taken by a photographer who happened to be nearby.
Beyond documenting the violence, the film focuses on the lasting impact on the people caught up in the attacks. It presents the bombings not only as an act of far-right hatred, but also as a story of ordinary Londoners whose lives were abruptly changed and their determination to move forward.
Will Stapley said the documentary offers personal accounts from people affected by the attacks, which shocked London more than 25 years ago. He added that the film highlights how the consequences of terrorism continue long after an attack itself, often changing survivors’ lives for years to come.
Yeti executive producer Siân Price described the survivors’ courage and resilience as both inspiring and humbling. While acknowledging the film’s emotional weight, she said it ultimately carries a message about the common ground that brings people together rather than the divisions that separate them.
Surviving the London Nail Bombings is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video in the UK and Ireland later this year.
