Netflix made an exclusive deal to host the UK-based true crime podcast Outlore with Eleanor Neale.
What Is Outlore About?
Netflix’s latest podcast play explores the psychology of how crimes are committed through the eyes of a true crime fan. The show looks to tell the story of a victim before the headlines they generated.
Who Is Eleanor Neale?
Eleanor Neale started posting lifestyle content in 2017 but switched to posting true-crime content and created the podcast in 2018 when she noticed a gap in the UK market for true crime stories. The podcast has more than 500 million views on YouTube and over 2.8 million subscribers.
Neale is co-founder of Moth Mgmt and managed by them, and is represented by agents at UTA.
Neale said, “I created Outlore as a space to explore true crime cases with the care they deserve, while still speaking with my audience in a way that feels natural, conversational and distinctly British. It’s resonated with more people than I ever could have imagined, and having Netflix recognise what makes the show special is so incredibly exciting. I’m so proud to be bringing Outlore to a new audience while staying true to the values it was built on.”
When Will Outlore Be Available on Netflix?
Eleanor Neale’s true crime podcast will be available on Netflix September 27.
