Sky has released the first teaser for its upcoming five-part psychological thriller mini-series Possession (previously titled Inheritance), starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Loki).
Joining Mbatha-Raw in the stellar cast are Jonny Lee Miller (The Crown, Elementary), Sheldon Shepherd (Bob Marley: One Love), and Bel Powley (The Morning Show).
The series follows Claudia (Mbatha-Raw), an ambitious bi-racial lawyer who travels to Jamaica to handle a high-stakes inheritance dispute between a local man (Shepherd) and a wealthy white aristocrat (Miller). However, the case takes an unsettling turn when Claudia realizes that the disputed property is Hope Hill—the Connaught family’s former slave plantation, and the very place that has haunted her nightmares since childhood.

As the characters dig deeper into the past, they uncover disturbing links between the plantation’s brutal colonial history and the injustices that continue to shape modern society.
Behind the scenes, the series was created and written by Karla Crome, with Storm Saulter taking on directing duties. Produced by Snowed-In in association with Sky Studios, Possession will be available on Sky in the UK and Ireland, while NBC handles international sales.
