BBC Reveals New Cast Members for Next Chapter of ‘Peaky Blinders’

The BBC has unveiled a new wave of cast members joining the upcoming Peaky Blinders series, currently in production in Birmingham.

Set a decade after World War II, the new installment follows Duke Shelby and Charles Shelby as they navigate a rapidly changing Birmingham, where the race to rebuild the city sparks new rivalries, criminal enterprises, and power struggles.

Among the newly announced cast are Conleth Hill (Game of Thrones), Samuel Bottomley (California Schemin’), Arturo Muselli (Gomorrah), Daniel Monks (All Her Fault), Lucie Shorthouse (We Are Lady Parts), Eugene Collins (The Bay), and Cal O’Driscoll (Video Nasty). Returning cast members Ned Dennehy and Packy Lee will reprise their fan-favorite roles as Charlie Strong and Johnny Dogs.

The newcomers join previously announced stars Jessica Brown Findlay, Lashana Lynch, and Lucy Karczewski.

Created and written by Steven Knight, the series is directed by Mike Barker and Anna Zackrisson and produced by Banijay UK’s Kudos and Garrison Drama. The project marks the first major commission under the BBC’s new production investment partnership with the West Midlands Combined Authority and Create Central.

The new Peaky Blinders era will consist of two six-episode seasons, premiering on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK, and on Netflix internationally.
