Directed by Peaky Blinders veteran Otto Bathurst and penned by Hostage writer Matt Charman, Prisoner is a high-stakes British crime thriller set to drop all episodes on Thursday, April 30, 2026, via Sky and NOW.
Prisoner follows Amber (played by Izuka Hoyle), a prison transport officer whose routine assignment spirals into a nightmare when she is tasked with delivering a notorious contract killer, Tibor (Tahar Rahim), to court. When their transport vehicle comes under a violent ambush, Amber is forced into a desperate survival tactic, handcuffing herself to Tibor to ensure he doesn’t escape or fall into the wrong hands.
As they flee from mysterious attackers who want Tibor silenced forever, Amber must decide how far she is willing to go, and what extreme measures she’ll take, to complete her mission. The series features a strong supporting cast, including Eddie Marsan, Finn Bennett, and Leonie Benesch, promising a tense, edge-of-your-seat journey through the British underworld.
