The highly-anticipated second season of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, the hit adaptation of Holly Jackson’s best-selling YA novel, has officially confirmed its return to the UK on May 27, 2026.
Following the massive success of the first season, which saw 17-year-old Pip Fitz-Amobi (Emma Myers) obsessively deconstruct the closed Andie Bell murder case to prove the innocence of Sal Singh, the series quickly became a “twisted delight” for critics and a trending sensation on global streaming charts.
The upcoming six-episode season of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder will debut on BBC iPlayer before moving to BBC One and BBC Three. Narratively, the story picks up in the aftermath of Pip’s amateur sleuthing; while she successfully solved the mystery that haunted her town, her life has been fundamentally “transformed by her actions,” and the emotional fallout of her investigation begins to take a toll.
Fans can expect a darker shift as Pip, alongside Zain Iqbal’s Ravi Singh, navigates the consequences of her newfound reputation while being drawn into fresh, high-stakes mysteries.
The production maintains its strong ensemble, with Emma Myers and Asha Banks returning to their roles, while introducing new talent such as Misia Butler (Kaos) and Jack Rowan (Noughts + Crosses). Described by reviewers as a “fast-paced, frothy whodunnit” with a “perfect summer vibe,” the second season of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder aims to deepen the crime procedural elements while staying true to the riveting teen drama that made the first season a standout hit.
