The first look for the second season of Sweetpea has been released, with Ella Purnell returning as Rhiannon Lewis.

The second season blends dark comedy with psychological thriller elements, continuing Rhiannon’s story as a wallflower-turned-killer. The season’s storyline sees Rhiannon navigating a new promotion, a tempting rebound relationship, and a copycat killer threatening to expose her, forcing her to question whether she herself is a “monster.”

New cast members include Rish Shah as Rhiannon’s romantic interest Gabriel, Tamsin Greig as AJ’s mother Liv, Taj Atwal as Rhiannon’s formidable new boss Freya, and Jenny Walser as Rhiannon’s new friend Daisy. Returning cast members include Jeremy Swift, Jon Pointing, Ingrid Oliver, Leah Harvey, Nitin Ganatra, and Alexandra Dowling.

Producers (Purnell, Ella Jones, and Patrick Walters) stated that the second season continues Rhiannon’s “killer journey” in a more exciting and high-stakes way. Sky (UK&I) Original Scripted Director Meghan Lyvers emphasized that the season will be filled with dark humor, dynamic storytelling, and twisted morality.

Filming for Sweetpea season 2 wrapped in November 2025; Leah Harvey announced it on Instagram, and Purnell noted that the season is “much crazier and bigger” compared to the first.

The release date for Sweetpea season 2 has not yet been announced.
